Adaptación gráfica propuesta para la expresión inglesa (body) piercing, ‘perforación hecha en una parte del cuerpo distinta del lóbulo de la oreja, para insertar pendientes, aros u otros ornamentos’. Su plural debe ser pírsines (→ plural, 1g). También puede sustituirse el anglicismo por expresiones españolas alternativas, como perforación (corporal): «La moda de las perforaciones corporales (piercing) […] será regulada por una ley estatal. […] Los establecimientos donde se realicen perforaciones deberán contar con cabinas para sus prácticas» (País@ [Esp.] 14.1.03); o perforado: Se ha hecho un perforado en el ombligo.
